 that money can buy, お金で買える物を (→そら、あったらええわな…)

 but しかし (→何なの?)
 it's good too, それもまた良い (→またまた…「それも」って何?)
 to check up 詳しく調べることも (→いつ?)
 once in a while 折にふれて (→何を?)
 and make sure そして確かめる (→だから、何を??)
 you haven't lost あなたが失っていないか (→うん、だから何を???)
 the things money can't buy. お金では買えないものを (→そうか!)

★(^^)σ【POSTSCRIPT: EDITOR'S NOTES】最後に編者から一言、後記です。

マハトマ・ガンディーは皆さんご存知ですよね。マハトマとは「偉大なる魂」
という意味だそうで、非暴力不服従を貫いたインド建国の父ガンディーに対す
る、人々の敬愛の念からついた呼称です。live → die → learn → live と
「生きる」に回帰してくるところが素敵ですね。

ジョージ・H・ロリマーのほうは米国の編集者で、当初1800部しか売れていな
かった The Saturday Evening Post 誌(1899-1936)の部数を、何と三百万部に
まで押し上げた敏腕編集長でした。ビートルズの "Can't Buy Me Love" とい
う曲を連想する人も多いかと思いますが、もちろんロリマーのほうが先です。

どちらの言葉も、日常生活の中でともすれば忘れてしまいがちな、大切な何か
を思い出させてくれる、そんな名言ではないでしょうか。
